about us – Samantha Peris Holistic Nutritionist

Samantha Peris, nu roots nutrition

Oakville & Burlington, Ontario

Here at nu roots we are devoted to teaching whole foods nutrition in an easy, friendly, non-intimidating way. We are continually striving towards achieving optimal health and encourage our lovely followers to do the same. By simply building a healthy relationship with wholesome foods we believe there is no need to follow a restrictive “diet”. Our approach teaches you to commit to supplying your body with only the highest quality delicious whole foods (and superfoods) and reaping the benefits of increased energy, achieving your “ideal” body weight, and finding balance in all aspects of your life. Our focus is geared towards (but not exclusively) women’s health, pre-pregnancy through to early motherhood and pediatric nutrition.

Samantha Peris, B.Comm, CNP

After completing her Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Calgary, Samantha Peris sought a career in which she could provide value to both people and the environment. After traveling the world and doing some serious soul searching she came across Holistic Nutrition. This quickly developed into much more than a career opportunity; it became her passion. Her enthusiasm was reflected in her studies at The Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Toronto, in which she received First Class Honors while earning her CNP (Certified Nutritional Practitioner) designation.

A Note from Sam

Having grown up on the standard North American diet myself, I began to see negative effects on my body at a young age. After learning and applying the practices of Holistic Nutrition in my daily life I was amazed by the dramatic transformation in my energy levels and overall health. I believe that no matter what age or state of health you are in there is always room for improvement and nutrition is one of the most important aspects in the journey towards optimal health.

My goal is to empower and educate clients so that they too can become familiar with listening to their bodies’ innate wisdom. By doing so, they too can facilitate their own healing by adopting a more holistic lifestyle. Taking the time to learn whole foods preparation and the basics of nutritional science has been the single best investment in my own health and the health of my family. Not to mention, because of this knowledge I have significantly decreased my impact on the environment and have learned many techniques to maintain a healthy home. I am grateful to be able to practice and share this wisdom on a daily basis.
