Hello Danielle, Thanks so much for your comment! I hope the lunar cycle works for you, try it with both the seeds and oils for maximum success. I used some herbal teas myself and found they helped me too! Good luck and definitely keep me posted!!

Hi there - I'm reading this thinking, holy crap this is my life TODAY. I was on the pill for a whopping 15 years and the experience going off it has been similar to yours. No period for a year and a half. I was also informally diagnosed with PCOS at which point the docs suggested taking Metformin (a diabetes drug which they say, also combats PCOS issues). I happily declined the offer and spent 18 months pursuing a natural approach to healing myself. Unfortunately nothing worked. I freaked out after having been without my period for SO long (especially when the risk of uterian cancer came up and was encouraged to go back on the pill to "get things moving again"). This time I reluctantly accepted, purely out of fear.

Jump ahead another year...after 6 months on the pill (and a few menstral cycles) I went off again. My turn to sound like a hippie...I started drinking a tea recommended by a nearby herbalist, conveniently called "Fertili-tea". Within a month, I had my first period au natural. Hoorah! It was only a few days, but better than nothing. Then again 2 months later, another short period. This has been the trend for the past 6 months or so.

Trying to get pregnant at the age of 32 with an abnormal cycle (and PCOS) is frightening but I'm going to do everything in my power to stay pill-free.

Definitely going to try the lunar cycle suggestion (which I've tried before with homeopathics, but to no avail). Fingers crossed.

Thanks SO much for writing this enlightening article. I hope to be writing back soon enough with good news:)

Hey Keely, best to just avoid them for the future, buying organic means you will be avoiding GMO. Just continue to eat clean, healthy, whole foods and your body's ability to heal itself is amazing!
